About Andrea
Andrea is part of an extremely creative family. Her grandmother was an illustrator, her mother and sisters are artists, and her father is a sculptor. For Andrea, painting daily is an essential part of her life. Growing up, Andrea was surrounded by the majestic scenery of America’s national parks. Her stunning oil paintings capture the beauty and grandeur of these landscapes, reflecting the profound influence they have had on her.
Artistic Style and Inspiration
Now based in Los Angeles, Andrea creates museum-quality fine art, pouring heart and soul into every brushstroke. She meticulously focuses on the composition, color, value, edges and intricate details of her work, always aiming to reveal new and beautiful “surprises”. Her art is mostly inspired by her daily interaction with nature and animals.
Techniques and Materials
Andrea specializes in oil painting on handmade fine linen canvases and continually enhances her skills through frequent visits to world-renowned museums. Before she starts to paint, she likes to enjoy a moment of silence or prayer to center herself and visualize what she is about to create. Andrea, who is mildly dyslexic, is particularly motivated by the life and works of Leonardo Da Vinci, who is widely believed to have struggled with the same issue.
Commissions
In addition to selling her originals, Andrea is available for commissioned work, which is typically based upon an image that is especially meaningful to her client that she will then transform into a unique, custom-made piece of original art.
